Patience

khantiNhẫn
In brief

Patience (khanti) is the calm, steady endurance that lets you stay kind and clear-headed when things are hard — facing insults, delays, discomfort, or your own restlessness without lashing out or giving up. The Buddha praised it as one of the highest qualities because it protects the mind from anger and keeps your conduct gentle even under pressure. You practice it in the smallest moments: taking a breath before reacting to a rude comment, or sitting with an uncomfortable feeling instead of immediately trying to escape it.
